About Danny

Daniel Tetteh Nettey was born to a retired evangelist and his prayer wife in Accra, Ghana. The couple had two children before Danny and three others after his birth. Danny Nettey developed love for music at a very tender age, at age six he was already writing songs. He also started playing the organ without any formal lessons. Danny Nettey’s music is deeply influenced by Blues, love of which he picked from his father and his native music.

His love and interest for music persisted throughout his elementary and secondary education. While at the Accra Academy Secondary School, Danny Nettey rose through the ranks to become the Music Director and also led the local Scripture Union Fellowship as its President.

After Secondary School, Danny joined a group of young talented song ministers whose calling was to the youth especially those in Secondary Schools. The activities of the then up and coming Gospel Ministers circled around Prayer, Study of the Word and Song Ministration.

By this time, Danny was writing songs which were being ministered in his local church. He answered God’s call to minister in songs to the nation and beyond and started a music group called ‘Danny Nettey and Pals’. Through this group Danny continued in what he knew best to do; taking the message of the Gospel to the Secondary Schools and ministering in Churches across West Africa through Word and Song Ministration.

In 1995, Danny released his debut album ‘Positive Change’, which did very well and immediately made him very popular among the youth. In 1996 another album, this time with the Pals, was released. Through this second album a ministry by name ‘It’s About Time Productions’ was born. Its main goal was to train and produce talented young song ministers in Ghana and the sub-region.

Over the past ten years Danny has been touching lives through the ministration of God’s word through songs, with many testifying to God’s saving and healing power as a result of his inspiring ministrations. Danny has traveled extensively throughout Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States of America sharing God’s love and grace through ministration.
Danny has recently started holding annual live praise and worship concerts in Ghana, over the years he has ministered on several platforms across the world. Artistes Danny has performed on the same stage with include Ron Kenoly, Bishop T. D. Jakes, Ron and Bebe Winans and Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton, Don Moen, and Alvin Slaughter.

He has recently released a double CD album, one with recorded live and the other recorded in the studio. He hopes to remain a blessing to the body of Christ and the world at large.

Missing You Danny

I was priviledge to see Danny minister at faith Foundation Church in Accra Ghana in 1995. Although we did not speak on that day, his ministration with the Pals left an indelible mark on me. Several years later by true divine orchestration our paths crossed during his first visit to the United States. My Head Continue Reading
